My dog is a light finder. She cracks me up, even in winter she some how will find a sliver of light shining in somewhere, and plop herself down to bask in the warmth.
We have opportunities everyday to bask in that light, but do we? Let me explain. When you get stuck in traffic for example, do you curse in frustration? Beat your hands on the steering wheel? Let it rule your emotions for the day? Or. . . can you find the light? it may be hard to find, a sliver at first. Perhaps, your radio works? Thats light. Turn up the tunes! At least you have gas in the tank, a car to drive. That is light. The more you focus on light, the more darkness will flee.
Now of coarse thats just one of a hundred examples, but my point is clear. Bask in the warmth. Peace. Comfort of light. Run to it. Find it. it does exist in every situation, some situation call for a little more searching than others, but it is there. And don't be surprised if you are met with resistance when you do this. it is against human nature to look on the "bright side" of anything. But you are in charge of you, and how you represent Christ, not how others react to it.
