Beautiful. That's how my little guy saw me. i must admit i don't usually feel "beautifuller" first thing in the morning. As i looked into his little face i said, "that's just how God made me."
"Wow, he did a really good job!" He smiled, and ran out of the room. i continued to lay there thinking. Yeah, this was how God made me! Why is it he could see this and yet i failed to see it?
i believe the beauty he was taking about was my heart, my soul. i believe that he was seeing me growing more confident in Christ, therefore Christ's love shinning through me. Children are so much smarter than us at times. (Proverbs 23:24 . . . . what a pleasure to have children who are wise).
it says in Mark 10:15 "i tell you the truth, anyone who doesn't receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it."
"Like a child". What i believe that to mean, is, wide eyed wonder.
Wonder: "to be filled with admiration, amazement, or awe; marvel". Do you marvel at God's insurmountable power and grace? Are you amazed by His presence in your life? Do you admire His strength in your time of need?
it's quite easy to take all this for granted. i would encourage you to come to the Lord as a child. Marvel and stand in awe at the miraculous things he's doing/done in your life. Simply breathing in fresh air is a blessing we overlook daily. Having fresh food to eat, a roof over our heads.
Thank you Lord for the abundance of beauty around us. i pray that you would use this as a time for us to reflect, and help us come to you as a child. Help us find our wonder, so that You might make us beautifuller in you.
