i equate hate to black mold. it grows quickly, and soon covers everything in its path. it is poison. it hurts the carrier as well as the victim.
i believe that it is one of the worst silent killers out there. Hate leads people to loose belief in themselves, while causing the person that is full of it to feel a false sense of power.
if i could be so blunt as to say, you have no power over hate. When you posses it in your heart, it becomes the one in the drivers seat, not you. You may think you are the one firing the shots, but hate deceives you as much as the next person. Just because you direct it at someone else doesn't mean you will be unaffected.
1 John 4:20 NIV "Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. . . ."
This is hard for me to write about because the faces of people (the victims), i personally know dealing with this makes my heart break. To see someone trying to stand strong when words or action taken against them, is so painful.
John 15:18 "if the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first." To the victims of hatred, i say this.
You are amazing. You are worth more than gold in your Saviors eyes.
Mathew 10:31 "So do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows."
Romans 8:18 "i consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with he glory that will be revealed in us."
1 Peter 3:4 "Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight."
My prayers are with those of you dealing with this. Please know that even if you don't believe in Him, He believes in you. And to those of you hating, you will be held accountably for all you do when you meet your Savior face to face.
1 John 3:15 "Anyone who hates a brother or sister is a murder, and you know that no murder has eternal life residing in Him."
