i think i love this show because it is similar to how God works. He has compassion, (. . for his compassion never fails. Lamentaintions 3:22), and yet there are consequences to our actions. We can not disappoint him so much that he leaves us, thinking we are hopeless. i believe hopeless is a word humans use, not God.
You may need more than one divine intervention in your life. God doesn't say one and done.
i have had many interventions. One that stands out to me . . . . .on a night wanting to end it all, swallowing pills, when God's voice said to me, "call somebody." No, i thought, i'll just die, thats the way it should be. "Call somebody." There was that voice again. "NO!" i screamed, no one will listen anyway. To make a long story short i finally called someone just to shut the voice up, they came, and thank God for that intervention i am still alive today.
What i love about God's interventions, is that guilt isn't used by him, just 100% pure love, and it never ends. God doesn't say, "ok, i'll get you out of this jam, but then i'm done". Nope. We are welcomed, and encouraged to fall in his arms daily if need be.
So if you are feeling something weighing on your spirit. Whatever it may be, hate, anger, unforgiveness, hurt, shame. it may be opening a door to God's intervention. Go to him, rest in his arms, cry if you need to, it's ok. it washed the soul.
Prayers for you. The time is now. Heal your heart, so you may enjoy life more fully. God has plans for you. Jeremiah 29:11 "For i know the plans i have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
