What concerns me is when we are so willing to jump into the cyber world, without a filter, and no one to hold us accountable, because really who are we? Just a name and a comment.
i have read many comments to someones posts, or commenting on a news article that i found so alarming. You see, we get behind our little computer screen and suddenly we are in charge. We have an opinion, we have a right to share it, correct?
i am curious, who made you the judge. The hateful things that you say can hurt another. You don't know them so you think no harm done. in between clicks on the keyboard do you even stop to think what, or who you could be destroying? Comments made on a tube video made by a little girl, slamming her, her clothes, so forth. it's disgraceful, and it frightens me how we can be harmed by someone miles away.
What are you commenting on? Are you hiding behind a screen name? Do you say online what you would say in front of your Lord? Think about it. That even goes for political postings, you don't have to agree with the politician, but writing a list of vulgar degrading comments won't change that. Remember those words you have typed are permanent and until you ask for forgiveness, or change, they travel with you into church sunday morning as well.
Proverbs 15:4 The soothing tongue is a tree of life, but a perverse tongue crushes the spirit.
Psalms 120:2 Save me , Lord, from lying lips and from deceitful tongues.
Psalms 34:13 Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from telling lies.
